My name is Melanie im 33yrs. old, Im from the Philippines, Graduated Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Im a Registered Nurse and currently working here in Saudi Arabia as a General Nurse. I love dogs.

I am a non smoker and I like to travel and visit different places. I want to learn and experience different cultures especially Canada. Ever since Canada is my dream country to live with to experience the countries culture, weather and people. That’s why I’m applying as a caregiver or nanny hoping I can find an employer who can who can hire and accept me in their family whom I can serve , respect, take good care and love as my own family I have a happy, loving and big family. We are eight in the family, I have four brothers and one sister.

I love taking care of elderly and children because I grow up and raised by my grandparents. I stayed with them together with my other cousins and nephews, that’s the reason why I used to live with a lot of family member. My parents are both working abroad with my four siblings. Even though we are not together, we always communicate with each other. Love, support and guidance are always there. And because of how my family raised me, I become family oriented, compassionate and learn how to care and emphatize others. Because of this also I gained a strong passion and sincere desire to help and care the elderly and children. That’s why I took nursing as my profession because I think through this way, I can learn more on how to care and apply my learnings through caring.

I have a strong desire to work with the elderly and children as a caregiver. I love and truly enjoy taking care of them. Staying with my nephews, baby sit them for a day makes me happy. I look after my grandparents and took good care of them when they got sick. For a very long time I stayed with them, Im their caregiver and a private nurse, doing everything I could for them to feel better. I would love to spend the next years of my life bringing the same care to my employer, other family. I can be a nanny and a caregiver at the same time. I am very compassionate, trustworthy, hardworking, passionate, honest, kind, responsible, loving and caring person. I can be someone you can count on to be there when your family needs me and during emergencies.

My background has prepared me to excel in this role as a caregiver or nanny to ensure best care. From assisting patients with day to day tasks and offering physical and emotional support, performing a range of daily responsibilities including medication administration, meal preparation and snacks, grooming/personal hygiene, de cluttering, social companionship, errand running, assist with bathing and other light household duties. Furthermore, I can go above and beyond the typical job description, able to adapt to the family values of individuals and I have thorough understanding of aging process and child care. I take an approach that focuses on dedicating myself to ensuring not only the healthcare of the patients but also their happiness.
