My name is Antes Aiza Diaz I am a center of attraction in my family. I was born in the southern island of south Cotabato Philippines. We have a small, simple type of lifestyle. My father is a farmer and my mother is a house wife. I have a sister and a brother, and we say that we have a strong bond as a sibling.

I am working last 4 years as a caregiver and I can say it is a tough one. How my journey started four years ago I took a hard decision of my life. I was raised by my grandmother. She was the most amazing person in my life. She was my hero & I was biggest fan of her, whatever hardship we had been through she was in my side. Who believes in my ability, talent, and my strength! the only person who will trust me that I can do everything because I am strong and dedicated for my dream & vision. Four years ago, I got a Caregiver job offer to work here in HK that was the time she Is diagnosed with stage four cancer. I was scared and hopeless that I cannot be with her. But still she encouraged me to do my work and to fulfill my mission. She died that I cannot even take good care of her. Nor I was able to change her nappy Neither feed her & comfort her down or provide any mental support like what I am doing to my client right now. By that time, I was not in her side and taking good care of other elderly it smashes my heart. But she is the reason why I am passionate to looked after an elderly. I always thinking that I am taking care of my dear grandmother so that I will never get tired of giving my unconditional care and support to elderly. I enjoy working with elder people, taking care of them, therefore you can find me trustworthy, that I can be someone you can count on to be there when your family needs me. I like to be always flexible with schedules, since no one never knows what can happen, or unexpected events occur.

I speak English, Tagalog, and little Spanish, I could say that I have intermediate English and basic Spanish, my native language is Tagalog. My favorite color is white, favorite food is chicken, beef curry and the Rice. I love birds, specially parrot. I like playing volleyball, badminton, watching romantic movies and visiting different places. In my free time I like to bake cake, go for a walk, eat or shopping with my friends. I like to travel meeting new people, talking and sharing experiences. I have gained my experience with elder people mainly through elderly care and helping with their training. I love children too, I think they are the most beautiful beings in the world, they are able to encourage anyone with their innocence and enthusiasm, they always make you smile and make you feel an inner peace.

After finishing my university graduation, I have worked at Hotel Roma plaza as front desk clerk & housekeeping attendant for 1 year then I moved to Hongkong.

To enrich my Caregiver career I accomplished CPR, AED training & Certificate course for caregivers in Hong Kong.

I do love working with elder people, taking care of them, therefore you can find me trustworthy, that I can be someone you can count on to be there when your family needs me. I like to be always flexible with schedules, since no one never knows what can happen, or unexpected events occur.

My first experience in caring elderly people is 68 years male bedridden with dementia I used to wake the him up, help with brushing & feed him breakfast, lunch , dinner, Provided him assistance in daily living activities by dressing, grooming, bathing, feeding and toileting, put him on wheel chair bring him to go for walk. Keep close eye on his vital signs, administered medications and tracked behaviors to keep doctor well informed. Maintained clean personal areas and prepared healthy meals to support his nutritional needs.

After finished my first contract his wife hired me again to take care her husband & herself, so this is my second contract with this lovely family the experience is great. Sometimes, if the elderly did not want to sleep, I prepare hot milk and watch movies, gossip with them for a short time and then put them on bed.

I am also taking care of a 65 years old female with breast cancer. Do light house keeping ,purchase things from market , prepare her food, help her to go walk & to Maintained clean personal areas and prepared healthy meals to support their nutritional needs.

I have always taken the “giver” in “caregiver” very seriously and as such have devoted myself to the selfless care of my employer. I take an approach that focuses on dedicating myself to ensuring not only the health of employer, but also his happiness. At my current job, it is my pleasure to regularly reposition my employer (patient) in order to prevent physical discomfort. I would love to be able to utilize my physical strength (combined with a gentle touch) to provide the same much needed assistance to the members

In short, my experience is unforgettable with my present employer family. That is why I want to live this experience again in a new culture like yours. I would also love to know the Canadian way of life, my desire to know more about your country and its culture. My family and my friends say that I am a very motherly, responsible and loving person; In addition, I love elder people , so this year I decided to fulfill my next dream and what a better way than doing what I love in a different country! I love spending time with elder people, learning everything from there experienced life, they can teach me sometimes. I can learn a lot of from them, for me, it is wonderful to taking care, live with them & learn, little by little, to be more experienced. Furthermore, my family support my decision and they are incredibly happy for me.
