My name is Belen. At 48, my mission in life is to be kind, compassionate, caring, and loving in order to find satisfaction and feel the deepest joy of life.

With the pathway offered to caregivers for Canada, hopefully my dream will become a reality soon. It was always my ambition to live and work in the Land of Milk and Honey since when I was still in college but due to financial constraint and lack of points, I failed.

Let me introduce myself well. I have a large family which consists of my parents, 5 brothers, 2 sisters, 4 nephews, 8 nieces, 8 grandchildren and I have 4 children of my own. To be honest, my first marriage was a failure maybe we are not yet prepared to a big responsibility but I am still thankful because my estranged husband gave me a son and a daughter. Then I met my current beloved, a Bangladesh National and we are blessed with 2 children as well. I am also grateful my parents are still alive despite having health issues due to old age. My father is already 84 years old and he was a farmer during his younger age. My mother, a retired elementary teacher is now 81 years of age. I honored my parents for being supportive especially during my ups and downs and now that they are on the last glorious prime of their lives, it is my obligation to take care of them not because they help me during my struggles but because it is my responsibility to give back what they deserved.

To break the ice and for you to know me better, I am fond of playing online games like Mobile Legends and scrolling the social media only on my free time but I do not spend much time since I have more things to prioritize like going to market, doing household chores and helping my children on their online schooling.

Regarding my personal attributes, I can relate well to people from a variety of cultures and socio-economic conditions. When I was employed in Saudi Arabia, I have worked and cared for people with different nationalities. Moreover, I am comfortable in changing environments and situations, ensuring ability to remain flexible and adaptable at all times. Above all, I ensure honesty, reliability and ability to undertake tasks responsibly.

With great enthusiasm, I am pleased to share my professional experiences. I am presently on my training as a Clinical Utilization Management Reviewer for my job. To have an idea, the goal of utilization review is to make sure patients get the care they need. I also have a 10+ years of proven nursing experience which polished my leadership skills effectively and efficiently, developed proper time management, prioritizing tasks, and exercising sound judgment required to improve the quality of patient care. I am passionate about inspiring other staff members to share their unselfish support and dedication in providing quality care to patient and implement the highest standard levels of service.

My duties and responsibilities as a nurse require a lot of patience and stamina. I worked mostly in a male medical ward and handled cases like Bronchial Asthma, COPD, Pneumonia and other respiratory problems. Also, I have other cases like Sickle Cell Anemia, rheumatism, hypertension, heart attack, stroke, diabetes, gastroenterology problems and bedridden patients with or without NGT, PEG and tracheostomy tube. My primary responsibility is to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the nursing care for assigned patients. My skills involve initial assessment and reassessment of patient at regular intervals, administers prescribed medications, performs IV therapy, collection of blood specimen and administering blood transfusion. In addition, I also perform bathing, positioning, suctioning, oral/NGT feeding and wound dressing as directed.

If ever my experiences are not enough or may not be suitable to my prospective employer, I believe that there is still room for improvement and adjustment that will help me thrive in this environment.

I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss my application with you further. Thank you.

Best Regards,

Belen L. Willy
